1. Restored relationship with God

Ephesians 2:4-6(NIV)
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

• 1) Jesus paid the penalty of our sins. Ephesians 1:7
• 2) Jesus liberated us from the slavery of sins. Colossians 1:13-14
• 3) Jesus made us God’s beloved children. Rome 8:15

2. Seeking to grow in God's character.

Philippians 2:12(NIV)
Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

3. Participating in God’s work

Romans 8:16-17(NIV)
16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Philippians 3:20(NIV)
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
